1.) Garlic among Home Remedies for Lice

Garlic is an antibiotic ointment which can treat many allergies and infections, garlic has strong fragrance which can suffocate lice, ultimately killing them. Take eight to ten garlic cloves and grind it into a paste and mix in two to three teaspoon of lime juice. Apply the mixture thoroughly onto the scalp. Leave the mixture on for a half an hour and then rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. You can also make a thick paste by combining some fresh garlic juice with some cooking oil, green tea, lemon juice and some shampoo and conditioner. Apply the coat on your hair thoroughly with the paste and then cover your scalp with a towel or shower for roughly half an hour. Then wash your hair with your regular shampoo. To get rid of lice, you must repeat this remedy on a weekly basis for one to two months.

2.) Olive Oil to Kill Lice

Olive oil is very good for killing head lice effectively.  You can apply any type of olive oil to your hair generously before going to bed. Not to get messy, put a shower cap or a towel on your head to keep the oil on your hair overnight in the morning, comb out the tiny lice and nits and then wash your hair with an herbal shampoo containing tea tree oil. Another way is to mix one half cup of olive oil with one cup of conditioner and add some liquid soap to it. After applying the mixture leave it on for an hour. Then rinse out your hair and apply some conditioner. To remove the dead lice comb your hair thoroughly. For best results repeat this remedy again after a week.

3.) Salt to Prevent Lice

To eradicate, salt can also be used for head lice desiccation through. This ingredient helps to lose the water from the body of lice. Take one-quarter cup of salt and one-quarter of vinegar and mix them up thoroughly. Take the solution gently spray it onto your hair so that it becomes slightly wet. Put on a shower cap and leave it for around two hours. Then wash and condition your hair. For positive results repeat this every three days.

4.) Petroleum Jelly to Kill Lice 

Petroleum jelly can have a stifling effect on roaming lice. Before going to bed apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly to the scalp, tightly cover your head with a shower cap or towel leave it on overnight.
